Locked Out?
Advice on what to do if you’re locked out of your home:
Firstly, don’t panic. You are not the first person to be locked out and you certainly won’t be the last. There are many different reasons for being locked out – often it is a simple case of either losing your keys or leaving then inside the house. This happens very frequently and this type of work forms an important part of our job. We have a 24-hour emergency locksmith service because the fact is – people often lock themselves out.
Locked out in the day:
Call us. We’ll ask you to describe your lock, if you can, so that we can give you accurate estimate of what is likely to need to be done and the estimated cost. We will also tell you how long it will take us to reach you. Once you book our services, we’ll need your address and telephone number where we can reach you. You can go to a neighbour/friend/family member or get yourself a coffee. You don’t need to wait outside your home. When the locksmith is about 10 mins away, they’ll give you a call to let you know, and they’ll meet you at the property. Before any work is completed, the locksmith will inspect the lock and confirm the price. Once you’re happy, the locksmith will carry out the work.
Locked out at night:
Call us. Everything will be as explained above except that we advise you to immediately go and wait with somebody you trust, or alternatively wait in a local all-night store or well-lit area. We can call you when we are nearby and advise you not to wait in the dark outside your property. Safety is a priority – keep yourself safe and we will contact you when we are about to arrive.
